Commands & questions
Why triads? Can we use pairs instead?
In Tribal Leadership, a third person helps bridge disagreements and keep the relationship grounded in shared values, rather than letting it stall when two people don’t see eye to eye.
Don't care about triads and just want to use S'Up to pair team members? S'Up can be customized to introduce any number of people. An admin can set the number of people with @sup set size 2 or @sup set size 3.
What does an introduction look like?
S'Up introduces the group in a Slack conversation and asks someone to organize a quick meeting. A few days later, it asks whether you met and keeps track of the result.
Can I suggest an introduction right now?
Use @sup suggest @user1 @user2 [topic] to suggest an on-demand S'Up.
How do I opt out or opt back in?
Message the bot opt out to stop participating or opt in to return. Leaving the channel also removes you from its introductions. Admins can opt out a member with @sup opt out @username.
Who can change the schedule and group settings?
Channel and Slack admins can configure the timezone, day, time, group size, and frequency. For example, use @sup set timezone Eastern Time (US & Canada), @sup set day Monday, @sup set time 9AM, and @sup set weeks 1.
Use @sup set recency 12 to avoid repeating introductions for 12 weeks, and @sup set odd no to control odd-sized groups. Try @sup help for all the options.
Can we customize messages or match people across subteams?
Set your introduction text with @sup set message Please find a time for a quick 20 minute break on the calendar. Use a custom Slack profile field, such as @sup set team field Team Name, to improve matches across subteams.
How do I see statistics or download our data?
Use @sup stats and @sup rounds for meeting outcomes, or @sup data to download data for analysis. Your team can also opt in to the Hypermedia API; see the documentation.
How much does S'Up cost? How do I cancel?
Try S'Up free for three weeks without a credit card, then subscribe for $39.99 per year. DM the bot subscription for subscription information or to change your credit card, and unsubscribe to cancel auto-renewal at any time.
Subscriptions help cover hosting. Major contributors to the open-source project can receive a lifetime subscription.
